He did the harness and AEM for just over $2k which isn't bad considering how much one is for a 2jz. And in my case, AEM doesn't offer anything that plugs into the VVTI harness so he re-pinned everything to plug into the AEM which was originally a honda ecu. I told him exactly what I was going to have on the motor and he made it to my specs....Im using a Non-vvti intake plenum/iacv and throttle body. He also included leads for DakotaD boxes along with a trans harness.

I've heard of this being done. I have a v1 aem ems for a honda, and wouldn't mind using that for my 2j... Anybody got details on using a honda aem ems to run and tune the 2j?

Wouldn't it be the same as the 1j v2 that driftmotion sells? I was in contact with tweaked, he offered the Honda box, and there harness. I'm sure they could make a jumper harness too.

I've had my harness redone by two different shops over the last 7years, and they have come back extremely shitting(although they worked).
I sent my harness to Cam @ Tweak'd and it came back awesome. I will say it's worth every penny spent on it. /nutswinging

I have no doubt that mine will start up first try. I have yet to hear anything negative about Ben's work. And everything plugs into the factory chassis harnesses so it's a full plug and play harness.

Ohh also i called jegs today on some fuel system pricing, piping, pump and such and i said i will be needing nearly 33 feet (i remember another member saying it took them nearly that long of a run from tank to rail) of -6 and -8 lines and the guy sounded very surprised.
Said it shouldn't be that long but gave me a price anyways, he also said i should go with a aeromotive fuel pump, said the a1000 would simplify and only make it one pump in the tank (that pump looks badass, says it can do 1000HP with fuel injection forced induction). Said i should do -10 supply and -8 return, i could go with -6 on the return side but he said sometimes fuel can build up in the rail. But idk if it would since we have that fuel pulsar thing located mid blockish on the intake side. Whats your guys thoughts? First time messing with fuel lines so im going strictly by what you guys say(cuz your word is pretty much law to me haha). I do heating and cooling for a living and have pretty decent piping skillz |

What are your power goals? What he told you to buy is a 700+hp fuel setup.

Why don't you look into like a s362 turbo. Or even a s366 with an 83 exhaust.
Was talking to someone, had a s366 with the .83 divided exhaust made boost by 3100. |

Has anyone seen ken gushi new frs 2j powered. They claim 750hp. I haven't paid attention to his turbo. But looking at his fuel lines don't look so big going into the rail also.I can't figure out what type of catch can set up he's running?????
I'm in the process of doing my own catch can set up. His looks like nothing Special still has factory valve cover fittings and looks like factory pvc and just rubber hoses.but I can't tell were they are going. Any insight on this I can't load pic cause I'm on my phone. Also I was told a lot of torque at lower rpms on a 2j can cause bent rods? |

A few people here have gone with that precision 6266, which makes me feel pretty good about buying it. I don't unfortunately hear of many other turbos for around this power goal though, like the Borgwarner. |

I'll be running a GTX3582R. Awesome turbos but they are stupid expensive. I'm building this as a drift car, so response is my main concern. Or else I'd be going with a BW s360.

The lines are going to a custom catch can that we fabricated There are Bulkhead fittings welded to the can that stick thru the firewall heater core inlet / outlet holes. The catch can is baffled and externally vented in the engine bay. * What photos are you interested in seeing?

I think you should just worry about getting a turbo that'll make 500 or so and just get the car running and tuned. 700-800 is a lot of unusable power on a street car. And an r154 is great in the 400-500 range, but I don't think it'll take 700 very long. And iirc the clutch has to match the tranny, so you'd likely end up spending $bank$ on a twin disk for the r154... Slippery slope that. Maybe consider what your options are after you get it up to 500whp - you may find that's plenty of power after all. My build plan looked like this: Stage 1 with swap = 300whp on stock twins -> bpu+ = 400whp Stage 2 with big single = 450-500whp -> bpu+++ = 550-600whp with fuel system redone and twin disk Stage 3 = 800whp with v160, standalone, bigger fuel system, cage, etc

For example in the 2JZ S13 I posted above.
We are running a R154 with Marlin Crawler internals. Car produced approx 640whp - uses a Competition Clutch Stage 5 Clutch Kit Transmission and Clutch have held up for the whole race season this year. Over the winter we will likely replace the clutch disc, and possible pull the bell housing off the transmission to inspect the internals.
