They're trying to tap into a market that they should just stay away from.

Let Audi and VW handle the sedan market and have Porsche focus on what they're good at high performance coupes.

dude. honestly. the cayanne doesnt look that bad. and they are comfortable as hell to drive. and for them to make a 400 hp manual suv with alcantera bucket seats and 3d gps is pretty damn nice. and the 515 hp turbo cayanne is fast and handles better than most cars. and they sell like crazy. or did before the whole 5 bucks a gallon of gas and economy going down a little more and what not.

all though for now i will agree a porsche sedan would be weird. i think vw is trying to mak all their makes break into different areas they arent known for. audi has the coupe, the r8. now they're trying to make the diesal v10 r8, and an r4. against all typical audi design of them being all sedans. so porsche sedan isnt too crazy. plus they still have lambo for super car coupes.

and i think that porsche will redesign the body. i would figure they are trying to work out all the bugs with the chasis and suspension since all that would be relatively new for them. they still have 2 years before it's supposed to go into production.
