We'll I have 92 ka swap on my 89 hatch and the engine drove well for over a year until recently out of no where the car died on me and left me stranded. I tried turning on the car and it would barely turn over and when it did turn over it would be rough ass hell

and when I tried pressing on the gas it would immediately die out. So far I've replaced the spark plug because the old ones were black which I'm guessing was carbon fouled but after replacing them I didn't do much. I've checked the vacuum hoses everything checks out good. I don't have a c.e.l on so I'm pretty much stuck!! Any help would be appreciated

Barely turn over or barely start?

If it's the orig fuel pump that's suspect at this age.

Barely starts I should say and it's not that new of a fuel pump I replaced it maybe like 8 months ago

Is there a change when you disconnect the MAF? Could be bad MAF

It does the same thing, it actually gets worse

check your wires ik i had this same problem when my maf was messed up and wires got cut under the fenders
