SR I think I blew the motor SR redtop

So lemme give you a little history on my recent tune.

I just installed 370cc injectors from 550s that were in my car. I've been driving around on them for about one week with no issues.

I took the car out for a spirited drive with no issues. When I went back out to start the car, it wouldn't start. Cranked over fine but still no start. I gave it some throttle and it started up but I had to force it. I opened the hood and I had what sounded like and looked like a misfire.

Because of the swap of the injectors, I went back to the injectors and did a injector balance test to see if the problem changed when I disconnected them. I disconnected #2 and the engine smoothed out and there was no issues. I plugged it back in and the engine sounded bad again. I drove my g/f to work and i was getting backfires once i got off the throttle. The miss was getting worse.

I drove it over my friends so we could troubleshoot. Once it sat for a while and we tried to figure it out I started it again but this time a terrible vibration from the engine all the way home. The oil smells like fuel and i'm really hoping its not bearings or cylinder walls.

Please please someone shed some bright light on me?!

Ok so I know its not a mechanical issue, I drove it home with a clip very loose. It still had to be put in clear flood mode (pedal to the floor) to start it and it has a vibration that isn't very healthy. I'm going to check compression and spark tommorow. If they both look good i'm going to check the injectors (maybe send them out to get flow tested)

It sounds to me like you have a leaking, or stuck open injector. Try swapping it over to another cylinder and see if the problem follows. Also, try removing the fuel rail and cranking so you can watch the injector firing, and spray patterns.

Is the ECU tuned for the 370s vs. the 550s that were in there?

Its a remanufactured red top ecu from nissan so its stock. . . I found some interesting things today. I think the injectors that I swapped with a member on zilvia is stuck open. I let it sit from last night around 6 to around 3:30 today and I pulled the plugs. All the plugs other than #2 (the one I had the issue with) are dry but #2 is black and wet. Its been sitting or a while and when I got it running, it still had a slight vibration. I took it around the block and idle got much worse. All the injectors are firing so I know its not my wiring. Anyone know what I should do?

That is what you should.

Send a message via MSN to Leroy_Stickshift
if you suspect you've shot the engine, do a compression test. it will eliminate or confirm any speculation, i cant say much for the injectors, i haven't had any issues myself yet

i had this same prob except i had white smoke pouring out of my exhaust, checked injectors and #1 was missing an o ring. replaced that, changed the oil and car ran fine..its more than likely an injector/o ring

someone made the recommendation that I installed the injector incorrectly but it seems like i did everything to spec. Also they told me not to use lubrication on the orings (which I didn't) and try reinstalling them.
