I've recently installed kyb agx and prokit on my s13. Whenever I ride over a dip or a speedbump, I can hear the rear driver side shock make a slight "whoosh" noise. It this normal? It sounds like it is just the shock piston compressing, but I don't hear it on the other shock/struts.
Could it be defective?

Thanks in advance.

i've have kyb agx struts and prokits and i thought the exact same thing when i put them on. i heard the same "whoosh" u're talkin bout goin over speedbumps and stuff. after talkin to some people i just figured it was normal. i doubt its defective cause my shocks work great, nothin seems wrong with them at all after like 3-4k miles. anyone else have the same noise?

Yes, its a strange sound. Also, my drivers side doesn't seem as low as the passenger side after installing prokits.

Yeah, mine do it too, I think it's just something that gas shocks do.

wasn't campaign complaining about his prokits? hmmmmmmmmmmm

i have the AGX's too. and my shocks do that when they are set on the lowest level. i drive around with the shocks on the stiffest setting at all times. yeah, it sometimes sucks going to work, halfway asleep and your brain gets rattled around inside your head from certain cracks on the highway, but oh does it pay off i wish i had the control like the Z does, touring/sport settings for the suspension from the flick of a switch.

Noticed that a lot of short stroke adjustable dampeners make that noise. My Tein's do that too.

yes camppain was and still is! i measured my front springs since eibach told me the spring rate was supposed to be 11.553 and they measured 12.75! thats why mine weren't lowered in the front! then htye had me measure from my hub to my wheel well like thats going to tell them anything different and its been 2 weeks now since i heard from the d*cks!

as far as the agx's thats normal cause its a gas shock i asked a couple of the other techs at work about it.

if you guys are having problems with your prokits i say you email the guy i spoke with or call eibach up so we can get the retards to do something about it.
