You should probably do some reading into the FSM and I probably shouldnt help you. But, If you look in the FSM, the wires to the injectors and coil packs change at different plugs on their path to the injectors and coil packs. This is no big deal AS LONG AS THEYRE IN THE CORRECT ORDER. Which im sure they are.

no i havent gotten it im pretty sure if i pretty sure ive done enough reading and comparing that ill be able to figure it out. plus it also helps a few of my buddies are good with wires so im sure well be able o figure it out.

1) Yes, the 3 grounds can go together they are just grounds. The Green/White IS NOT IMPORTANT unless you want to use the consult. Very Unlikely.

2) Bah, its so hard to answer this without having done mine yet which should be done tomorrow. Can ya wait a day? Was your car an Automatic? Where are these plugs coming from? SR Harness? KA lower Harness? SR Lower Harness?

3) Yes, that is very very much looking like the turn signal plug.

4) Yes this is your ignitor plugs.

5) I would assume theyre ABS...but I have NEVER seen an ABS 240....errr ok i lied never looked at one closely in depth.

6) Its so hard to any kind of electrical/electronics help over the boards.

Great, thanks for the help Monooxide. I'm hoping to get my car running by this weekend so if we're all in the same boat, we can help each other and get it done.

1. OK. I understand to connect all of the black wires from the KA plug that I cut off. Does that mean I connect them to ALL of the black wires that are on the SR ECU harness plug (because there are more than 1)? The video didn't specify.

2. I figured this one out and connected my KA lower tranmission harness. The only plug left to figure out is the brown plug in the yellow box which I don't know about.

3. I actually don't think its a turn signal plug. it goes through my wheel well and it looks like its connected to my braking system or something. Is this how brakes work? Anyways.. I think I hooked it up right to a plug coming off of my SR harness if I can remember. its a plug thats near the KA brown and gray connector that I attached to the SR harness.

4. OK so those both are ignitor plugs. I know how to wire up the 5 wire plug, but not sure about the other. Someone already said to look into my fsm and trace the coil pack wires. I'll try and figure that out, but it would nice if someone could just tell me which wires to hook up to my q45 ignitor chip if they have done it already themselves.

5. I don't have a clue about these plugs because I don't seem to have any connectors from the harness that will match up with them so I am a little scared. I am hoping that they were for my ABS because I took it out so I shouldn't have to worry about it.

did you figure out where the plugs in #6 go? cause those are the only plugs left that i cant figure out. btw ill be working on trying to get mine running by monday afternoon so ill keep you guys posted if i find out a way.

Yes I figured out number #5 and #6. Im actually surpised to see how many people veiwed this thread yet not as much help as I expected. Amazing, but anyways..

5. These plugs are used for ABS. If you took out your ABS like I did, then you don't need them anymore. Plugs as listed for anyone who wants to know.

Motor Relay:
Red
Orange/Blue

Rear, Right Front, Left Front Solenoid Valves
Blue/Yellow
Green/Yellow
Red/Yellow
Brown/Yellow

Actuator Relay:
Blue/Red
Green/Red
Blue
Gray/Red
Yellow
Black

6. These 2 plugs were on the SR lower Harness and you don't need to worry about them because The KA Lower harness should be used anyways like the so many people who have told me already. Thanks

the only thing is i dont have a ka tranny harness as i boght a shell with no engine. so i guess ill have to find the wires on the chassis harness and then splice them on?

That could be really tricky to do with the SR lower harness. I would go to a junk yard and pick up a KA lower Harness from a 240. You will save yourself a headache because of all of those connections to the fuse box and such.

well i spent a good 2-3 hours today with a buddy of mine trying to figure it out with sr tranny harness and after looking at different fsm's and comparing....im gonna locate a ka tranny harness and it should then become plug & play

Ok well I finished most of my wiring today and tried to start it up, but no spark so far. I will keep you guys updated as I progress through this.

The only weird thing is.. is that I can't find the plug for the speed sensor on my KA harness. I am confused as hell on that one, but it should still run without it, I would think right?

yeah the engine will run without the speed sensor except you wont have the vvt-c. but isnt the speed sensor on the sr harness teh same as the 5th gear sensor of the ka harness?

OK sorry, but I am a little confused about what you are saying.

From the KA harness I use:

1 plug for the neutral switch?
1 for the reverse switch?
and the other 1 for the speed sensor? (which is the 5th gear sensor)

Is this what you are saying? If so, could you please post a pic of the 5th gear plug on the KA harness so I know which one.

Is there anyone out there that can please clarify this for me?

Note:

I know the KA trannsmission harness has 3 plugs (as far as I can find) and the KA tranmission has 3 sensors + the speed sensor:

The SR transmission has 1 less sensor than the KA transmission.

I tried to use the speed sensor from my KA on the SR Tranmission, but it didn't fit (The KA was larger). So therefore I had no choice but to use the SR one.

i just finally picked up my tranny harness sunday night and hopefully this week-end ill get a chance to plug it in and hopefully get everything working. ill keep ypu guys informed.

I just wanted to say that I found my speed sensor wire. it was tucked away in the corner of the engine bay. Im gonna share some information that I shared with you already mr 240sx. hope you dont mind. I just want to help out.

This is for the transmission sensors:

The KA tranny has 4 sensors while the SR tranny has 3.

The sensors you will be using are the speed sensor, (neutral switch or reverse switch - I can't remember. I think both of the sensors are the same) and the 5th gear sensor. The neutral switch or reverse switch that I am talking about on the SR tranny wasn't able to be removed once the tanny and engine were in so I just left it because I think its the same as the KA one anyways.

The speed sensor from my s14 sr tranny was not the same size as the one from the ka tranny so I will just try and use the SR one but the other 2 sensors in the sr tranny were replaced with the one from the KA tranny.

You might need to cut some wires and splice the necessary connectors to them. Look in the FSM for the correct wire colors.

In the end, you will be left with 1 sensor connector on the KA tranny harness which is not connected to anything (which i think is the reverse switch sensor).
