i know im going to get flamed for this. and i know you can look at the dash and se if the abs symbol comes up. im wondering if there is a way to look up if the car came with abs by using the vin.

i want to do it this way because the car has had work done and i dont know if its the original dash or not.

ok...so work has been done to the car and u dont know if it has ABS or did at one time and was removed?? or vise versa..

or are u just refering to dash/cluster???

bc u can look under the hood and see the ABS motor...

abs computer is on the driverside by where the seatbelt is behind the panels.
abs pump is under the hood right by the windshield wiper motor

there will also be a sensor on the diff

Go out, get in car, turn car on.

Find road with no cars/people.

Get it up to like 40 or 50 at least.

Whomp on brakes.


Obviously if the ABS is not hooked up/malfunctioning, this won't work.
