auto to manual tranny swap help

OK so i got my first s14 that has had a auto trans swapped to a manual now the from previous owner, and the speed gauge wont read the right speed when i drive about 10mph it says im doing 25mph so my question is. is there a differences between gauge clusters from auto to manual ones or is it something else like my speed sensor.

There is no difference between auto/man clusters. It may be off because of rear gear ratio change, larger tires or a combination of both. Do so more searching on here, there is a way to rectify the gauge reading on the cluster itself by soldering two connections together and unsoldering another.

Your trans more than likely has an S13 speed sensor in it rather than the S14 one. S13 sensor's read 2x more than the S14's do.
