im in camp pen, but i spent 3 1/2 years there. I did my sr swap at the hobby shop in 2004. I'm going back out there to paint my car in a few weeks!

They have a paint booth out there? I heard CP had one too.

I was there for comm school, F that place. I hate it and hope I never go back. I may not reenlist, even though I'm tier 1 just because I'll have to go back to the school house for 62 or instructor course. Its the its the gateway to hell there, nothing but military, cheating wives or meth heads. However, we use to have a car meet at the autozone every Sunday.

They only teach 2800 and some 5900 at MCCES. 1100 Electricians (utilities) A school is taught in Camp LeJuene.

29 Palms has a paint booth and its actually very nice. The old guy there will spray your car for 50 bucks if you do all the prep work. the rates are awesome there compared to the one here in Camp P. $6 an hr for a lift... way too expensive for my taste, especially if you use it all day.

camp pen. doesn't have a booth! they stated it would cost to much to build one and make it complaint to fed. laws! My question to them was explain 29 Palms then!

Camp Pendleton does NOT have a booth. They used to though! Any guesses why not anymore? All of the local paint and body places were pissed because Marines were painting their own cars taking away business... so they called OSHA and EPA to hassle the auto hobby and make sure they were in compliance with all the laws. It was more expensive to upkeep the thing so the manager Rick got rid of it. 29 Palms has one because look at where it is. Its in BFE.. no one cares!!
