SRswap w/ upgrades HP predictions
i think i had this in the wrong section before.
Whats up guys im new, i own a 92 240sx coupe. I live in O-town florida and i have shop thats willing to swap a s13 red top w/ 3inch exhaust, 3inch D/P, 3inch plumbing, intake and intercooler pipes, a huge FMIC that can support 700hp (precision turbo intercooler), blitz BOV,performance clutch, walbro 255 fuel pump, performance water pump, flex-lite dual fans, greddy profec-B EBC and a J30 LSD. for about $6,150. installed My question is, will these supporting mods give me 250whp on 93oct? Reason i ask is this is the projected hp # the shop manager is giving me however they dont have a dyno to prove it to me. They do however work on the ENJUKU cars. if you are familliar with enjuku that might mean somthing to you, anway are these guys blowing smoke up my arse or are they speaking truth? Also is this huge intercooler really going to actually benefit the stock T25? Thanks for your time and GO SIDEWAYZ OR GO HOME!!!! |

no it won't get you 250rwhp. at most 240rwhp. your stock maf and injectors run out. even if you get a s14 turbo it won't make much more hp because of the injectors. once you get bigger injectors/maf you'll be able to hit 250rwhp. 550cc will be go for up to 300hp. and look around for a z32tt maf or a q45 on the for sale section.
a front mount is nice. without one i wouldn't try anymore than 10psi. i'm not ssure about which intercooler you're talking about though. |

thanks for the replys guys....also enjuku was going to charge me 7k for just the sr20 swap alone thats with no upgrades....XAT in tampa wants 5800 thats for 240whp and a smaller intercooler and smaller piping.....so for about 300 bucks more im getting bigger piping and a much bigger intercooler. which is going to be essential when i get a bigger turbo and beef up my internals. seems like a no brainer to me...

no thart wont net you 250hp.
stock injectors are being pushed to ther limits at around 230 hp any more than that is hard on your injectors and you risk running lean and blowing something. also higher octane liek you mentioned, will not gain you any horsepower at all. |

250whp # is pretty much a rough estimate of what that engine makes with a T25 at 15psi(depending on supporting mods of course).

You really don't catch on do you? I gave you the last one for free because I am a nice guy and was giving you the benefit of the doubt. But I guess I was being too easy on you. I warned you about post whoring. So here we go, less then 10 posts on Zilvia and you get PINKED. You have a month of restriction to fix yourself. Enjoy.

6k is a really good way to waste money on that swap. if it was 4.5k and 250rwhp, it'd sound good.
But 6k? Do you know wht you could do with that extra money? Then again, its MHO. and the only one you should really be asking questions is to yourself. Do YOU think its worth it? And ask around town too. |

I was gonna pay someone to do the swap, but now I think that I am just going to do it myself. I figure it may take longer and I may mess up a few things along the way. However, this is just a track and occasional driver car, so I already have a daily and can take my sweet ass time with this one.
