philly's pretty big. Ive lived in west and north philly, "nice" areas really depends on where in philly your moving. Some areas its just a matter of a few block separating nice town from needle-ville.
I live outside the city now, but If i was moving back. Id look for a place in south philly, fishtown, or just outside center city in manayunk. |

the area around arcadia is the suburbs. nice looking area, just nothing to do. For a college life outing, i would recommend, northern liberties, olde city (clubs), manayunk, spring garden ave (they have silkcity, and mcfaddens), frankford hall, johnny brenda's, and i couple other places that i can't think of right now. South street is a nice place to check out but its a bit hooded. the restaurants in philly are great, especially the mom & pop shops.
