Hey Jimmy,
I read your whole thread and have to say: I had no idea which process the car has gone through when meeting you at FBG! Other than that, I simply love your 32 and can´t wait to see you build another S13. Andy |

Swapped from TE’s to R33’s. Wanted to try 17/17. Going to try to have this painted and done so that Damon can drive it during Final Bout South.

Im liking silver as well. Probably will be the color choice to keep this car chill and keep the R32 "wild"

Well here is a 6 month update. Things kinda slowed down, taking a step back instead of rushing things to get painted. From the last post, I removed the SR20 from the chassis. I also removed everything from the engine bay in order to have the bay painted to match the car.
Once pulled, I stripped the engine on both the intake and exhaust sides. Cleaned the block and hit it with high temp silver. I have this silly superstition about not opening up SR20, not even the valve cover. If you have seen the SR in the R32, the VC still isnt because I dont want to let the magic out LOL Freshening up the SR isnt cheap. I have had this conversation with alot of people who think they can buy an engine from an importer and drop it in. Its not like that. You essentially have to double the price of the engine to have an actual price of swapping in a engine. Below is what I chose to replace. I tried to use all OEM or quality parts because my goal is to daily this car and stop driving my truck. New OEM gaskets, oil pan, oil pick up, FPR, fuel filter, and turbo. Gates belts and Exedy Clutch Slave and Master Cylinder. New Walbro 255 fuel pump and SS lines to replace the old 30 year old parts. New motor and transmission mounts as well as a new PBM downpipe. The clutch is a simple ?stage 2? replacement with a new flywheel to replace the old worn unit. What isnt shown is a new DC Sport Turbo manifold (wanted to try their design out for the sounds), turbo oil drain and greddy FMIC kit. I also order a new Koguchi Power bonnet and picked up a GGrow rear lip (not pictured). The KP bonnet has been a thing that I have wanted for a really long time and Im glad I pulled the trigger. The GGrow rear lip is something new that I have been looking at. It is lower than the OEM valances so I feel it might flow a little better. I loaded up the car and took it to Logan so that he can do all the paint and body work. He will do a great job and Im excited to see it complete when its done.

Looking good. Didn't know you could still get DC Sports manifolds for SR20, hah.

You can get the DC manifold a little cheaper if you look. It was kinda of shitty to mount since the manifold to turbo flange wasnt threaded. The design is kind of weird but I hope it sounds cool LOL

Just did nut and studs with a tack weld and the OEM nut locking tabs. Went a little over kill this time

overkill is the best way. I did studs, with a nut on the back where I could get one to fit, then tack welded. Next time i'll just weld the turbo to the manifold
