Hey just curios but what are the differences in the 350Z, from the years in the title? I know the body style changed a little in 06' to 08'. I'm asking about everything: engine, body, etc. My Buddy wants to know as he is looking at purchasing one, it will be for the most part his dd. Also I searched the forums for those of you that are going to say 'use search'. Thanks

i believe the 03-05 years had the transmission problems... correct me if im wrong

03,04 has the originally VQ35DE, 287hp
05,06 has the "revup" version,few oil consumption problem, 296hp
07+ has the VQ35HR, higher redlline, dual throttle body, 300hp

Purchasing a 5-speed automatic meant you still got the VQ35DE with 287HP/274TQ. The headlights now sported larger bi-xenon projectors, the front bumper had been revised, the rear taillights now use LEDs, and interior changes brought differences to the center console, among other small things. Touring and Grand Touring models have radio-steering controls standard, MP3 CD compatibility, and Satellite Radio became an available option. The 15AT transmission also received an update, which made it rev-match for every downshift.
For the 2007 model year, the 350Z was again moderately revised. The VQ35DE V6 was replaced with a new 3.5 L VQ35HR V6. It produced 306 hp (228 kW) at 6800 rpm with 268 ft·lbf at 4800 rpm. The hood was revised featuring a bulge reminiscent of the original 240Z. In the US, trims levels were narrowed down to 350Z (base), Enthusiast, Touring, and Grand Touring, while in Europe the same trim levels remained.

Only the 03's had transmission issues. The 07 did have a slave cylinder issue because Nissan switched to internal slave and rushed it out to market, they replace them under warranty for free. As they did with the transmission. In terms of shear awesomeness the 07's are the dope engines.

Oh and for the person that posted a full weakapedia link. Dude either learn your stuff but don't post that shit here. Zilvia is going to start looking pretty bad, when it gets known its members are now referring to weak-a-pedia! The most amount of unchecked and unfounded facts on the internet.
