My first impressions of an R-Compound... (not 56k friendly)
Advan-032R, for Sporty drive... You bet!
225/50R16 for front 245/45R16 for rear Flushy, flushy... More flushy, flushy... Hmm... 245 size in Dunlop FM901 vs 245 size in Advan-032R... Not fair.. Old school, back in the garage. Went for highway heat-cycling afterwards... Damn those tires grip!!! I still can't believe it. I feel I can be much more competitive with these tires... I wasn't able to powerslide them... Seems I can put the power to the ground now. Can't wait for my first auto-x event with them! Should be fun...

You bet I will... First event: 15-16th of May... then down to Devens on 29-30th of May to meet AceInHole for another event just for fun... Then back up to the cold north to have more fun...
I really can't wait to try them!

Nice! Let us know how the tires turn out, I stand to inherit a used set of AO35R 205/50/15 softs if they are still around at the end of summer. Oh, and those wheels make your car look completely different for some reason.
BTW, this was my first impression of R-compounds earlier this year Do not try at home! (makes the chords come through ) -Matt

I spoke to a representative... They have to empty their A032R-Hard before having the soft out on all sizes... And they have to empty their A032R-S stock before getting the A048R in all sizes... A032R are on the verge of extinction.

yah, we'll see... the guy i talked to at falken said they'll be putting out another line of sports (with more sizes!) next year, so we should have them in time for next race season.

Well... I do hope I won't flat spot them...
Anyways, I'll mount them only for Auto-X.

lol... the only reason you flat spot R's is because of the huge difference in braking. you get sooo much more... you keep pushing and pushing and pushing and suddenly... SKSKKKRRRT. Can't wait to see how those help you!! (And also can't wait to see if you can help me get my points back on the 30th!!)

Can't wait to try them either... Think I'll be running SM too with all the mods I have?

Hello Halo,
What brand of wheels are the gold mesh you are running? Also --do you run SM with CADL or another Class? ( looking to swing up for the CNAC--and am not sure of the rules) DJ |

I run SSR REverse mesh rims.
With CADL, they have different classes... I run in P1 (which is a prepared class). We just adopted Street Touring classes this year, and we have 2 prepared levels. But for the CNAC, we will be based on the Canadian rules which are a bit different.

Those wheels don't look flush enough (front or rear!) to cause any fender problems... but I'd agree that it would offer a wider margin of safety.
Good looking tires; i'd be interested to hear how they perform. |

I understand your worry... I'll tell you what! I'm going in for an alignment this week... 2 degres in front - 1.75 degrees in rear...

I see... I unfortunately don't have time to roll fenders before the first event... maybe on the second one.
By the way, my alignment was brought back to spec once lowered (0.75 degrees). I think I'll go 2.5 front and 2.0 rear.
