Hey guys, I have been digging on this, but have not found a lot of confirmation on how this should be setup. Here is my current setup.

'90 240 with redtop SR20det
Walbro 255 fuel pump
550 injectors
GT28r mounted to tubular manifold
manual boost controller
EGR block off
2.25 IC piping w 4" thick IC
Upgraded spark plugs
3 exhaust-ends at rear wheel
single electric fan
Greddy Intake Manifold
Mishimoto radiator
Power Steering pump with Chase Bays kit
factory MAF as of now

The car is fully gutted including a hacked harness. The only electronics in the car are pinned out directly from the ECU with minimal wiring to a custom relay panel and switch panel.

All gauges, fan, fuel pump run on ignition. Gauges include Tach, UEGO, boost, water, volts.

Starts with push button switch. The only other switches in the car are for low/high headlights, ignition, wipers. Basically the only connections left on the car are power, lights, CAS, injectors, O2, power, ground, wipers, ignition, fuel, tach, starter, MAF, spark, knock sensor, elect water temp, fan, alternator, and maybe another one or two I missed. This is a custom dash, so no factory gauge cluster etc...

The car currently runs and idles well, but seems to run rich and seems to cut out at higher revs, but I have not looked into that yet.

Currently, I am running the factory ECU and factory O2. However, I have purchased a Power FC with datalogit and an AEM UEGO wideband sensor and gauge.

Questions:
Since I will be replacing the factory ECU with the PFC ECU, do I need to run the factory narrow band O2 sensor at all? Or can I simply replace the factory O2 with the wideband O2 sensor.

If I can do this, will the PFC have any problems reading this? Is there anything else I should consider?

You can run both, for best diagnosis ability.

If the wideband has an analog output with configurability you can just run the wideband. The input will go directly to the power FC Narrowband INPUT on the ecu AFTER you configure the analog output.

The natural 0-5v wideband output should go to the data-logit for logging purpose.

the reason why you are cutting out at high rev is because you're using a stock sr maf. they are only good to about 250-280whp. that will cause break-up and cause you to run rich because the maf isn't flowing enough air for the fuel. upgrade to a z32 and i bet you're high rev cut out goes away.

you don't really want to install your wideband where the factory o2 sits. it's too close to the manifold. widebands should be 12-16" down the downpipe before the catalytic convertor. let the factory o2 where it is and weld an o2 bung further down the exhaust. it'll also help the life of the o2. being closer to the manifold you will be wearing your o2 out faster. since you are running a PFC you can turn your o2 feedback off in the pfc options if you decide you don't want to use the factory narrowband data. and since you are running a datalogit with the pfc make sure to wire your wideband into the datalogit so you can read your afr's in the stand alone as well.

Thanks for the info guys. I was expecting the maf to be the cut issue. I am working on buying one off a sale thread on the forum. Sounds like I will be adding another bung to run the wideband. I will update thread and let you know how it goes. Thanks again

they are all right. i have a redtop sr20 with the pfc, and the aem wideband uego. put the bung hole on the downpipe. and get a z32 maf. change the setting in the pfc for the vg motor. also make sure under settings that the boost controller kit is turned off if you do not have one.

Make sure the wideband is at least 3 feet down stream from your dump pipe otherwise the readings will be off an you'll fry it. If you're running pfc run the narrow band and run the uego for fuel map fine tuning purposes. You can also route an output for lambda from the uego to one of the auxilary inputs on the fc box so you can log AFR over load and rpm! Great setup.
