S14 Rear Drivetrain for more power
What’s up fellas!
I have a 1995 240sx se with a single turbo 2jz should push around 700hp to the wheels when all is said and done. It’s my road warrior And I’m probably going to bring it to the strip once or twice just to see the times I put down but other then that it’s all crusing the street and the occasional pedal to the floor. So I need some I formation on what to do with my s14 rear drivetrain. I searched the forum and found a couple small things but I want to get everyone’s opinion. I see some people so with a single solid axle but it seems like that’s for BIG power. The other option seems to be DSS level 5 axle kit. And I still have to find out what diff to use that works with them. For 700hp to the wheels..what route would you guys take on this? Thanks a bunch fellas! |

Running a 3.4 liter Spool RB30 block motor, easy 700hp and still running std r200 ls diff ! Std driveshafts as well. 285/18 Toyo semi slicks, still turn them into smoke at 50 mph accelerating...
I have on standby R230 Z300 turbo diff and shafts should I need...The traction break is my safety zone I suppose... |

You’ll need the Q45 (R230) setup at a very minimum. The 3.0l makes too much trq for the R200. Other options include the 350Z diff swap and an 8.8 solid axle setup.
