Why you are not rich, and why the rich dont pay taxes
I'm going to keep it simple because people expect that taxing rich people is going to solve the problems. Its not going to even phase rich people.
why? Rich people are usually ones involved in owning corporations, or at the very least, a business of some sort. In most states a corporation is a separate Identity from personal income. I know people that have corporations in a home based business here in Canada. Anyone who owns a business gets taxed AFTER they spend money. There are many mansions all over the world that are technically labled as 'storage property' for a corporation. While the CEO and his family live in them. There is still tax to pay, however on paper a CEO of his own corporation (lets say him and his wife own all the shares) could make no money per year, and not pay any tax if all the money from the corporation goes back into something business related. This can include real estate and lets say a new truck or car. ---- also if any of you on here rent, dont. You will never be rich paying someone elses mortgage. Read the book 'the automatic millionare' (figured I'd throw that in so I dont start another thread where the kids flame there too)

Nobody wants to rent, it's just a phase that most everyone has to go through while they save enough for that first down payment. And I agree, what was your point in the rest of this?

Start saving $10/day. As in get it automatically taken out of your account and put into a savings acount, or an RRSP deal. Something where you can use it as a tax shelter till you throw it into a house. point for the rest? Just because some tards keep throwing out how the future prez of your country is going to solve issues with tax changes. ...it wont effect anything, either guy. And it doesn't deserve a response. Your question is trivial and doesn't ask any specifics. ...far more off-topic then my topic anyway

$10 a day? Holy crap that's my food budget for the day. If I switch to top ramen I can save $7 a day...
$10 a week is good. I doubt most people on here can afford $10 a day out of their monthly budget. I don't have $300 laying around at the end of the month. Congrats on reading a book and exploiting your friends.

Just wait for RJF to see this, he'll tell you how outrageous it is to tax the rich more, and how it will ruin America along with the world's economy, and children will starve.

raising taxes on the rich is not to hurt them. and frankly i dont care if it "phases" them as long as the contry is getting money from ppl who can afford to i guess

The tax code today is too convoluted as is and needs to be revised. Besides all that, there's nothing wrong with being rich. Being rich, doesn't make you an exploitative asshole. It doesn't make you immoral. People need to quit villainizing others just because they make a shit ton of money. Being rich doesn't make you a bad person. Just like being poor doesn't make you a good person. The simple reality of the fact however is that rich people can withstand to have a considerably higher percentage of their income be taxed without effecting their purchasing power. And, by the way, any rational human being would prefer purchasing property over renting it. Unfortunately, reality stipulates that property values aren't static. And so while owning a home in one market may be financially viable, the opposite may be true in another. |
