Also, congrats out to Kognition sponsored team PTuning and their TC. They took a 1st place podium in Mod FWD. Their second 1st place in a row this year! Must be the Kognition wing. I'm going to try and get these guys to move into Unlimited class and put some heat on Chris Rado and his Bi Plane wing monstrosity. Only 4 seconds slower than Rado yesterday.

Thanks Mike! It seemed like we had endless problems as well but overall it was a good weekend. Unfortunately, we had an issue in the time attack and the recorded time was over a second slower than the practice times. We are working on getting more heat into the tires and might get some warmers but the traction was less than limited with 120 degree tire temps. We made a lot of progress with the dampers and ARBs and the new differential has helped a ton. Since BFGoodrich is located right near the track in S. Carolina, they will be sending an engineer down to the track for us. I do have some incar of the time attack and will get it up soon.

The next event is at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw.
Mike, I was checking out your wing up close and it is really a work of art. Awesome Job!! Here is a photo of the car with the new graphics. It was shot for a magazine, not sure which one. I will update the Maxi thread over the next couple days. Its been the busiest month of all time for sure. |

Thank you Bill,
I have a new wing i should have in production by September. It is based off of a Formula One wing i bought from Williams F1 in the UK. They were selling all of their wings recently on ebay, and yesterday announced they are leaving F1 alltogether. The wing had a 10" chord, and i rescaled it in cad to a 12" chord. A million pound airfoil when you consider all the wind tunnel, cfd and track testing. A very aggressive profile that is perfect for RWD in time attack. The car looks sick man. Quote:

Thanks both Mikes I raised the rear to get a little more rake as the aero was dropping it down too much at speed.
I bought a few F1 parts and they are worthy desktop pieces for sure. Those wings were tempting and at one point they were selling elements for under 100 quid! I got this williams composite exhaust outlet shroud that has some kind of metal woven into it. The carbon has a nice rainbow color to it friom the heat. A while ago I bought a Jaguar V10 inconel collector. My buddy who used to work for Arrows, Jaguar and Redbull as a wiring technition was in the shop this winter and saw the part number on it "Cor Blimey, I did the harness on that R4!". I'm working on a revised rear diffuser and might email you with a couple questions Have you ever looked at any of the wings that the open wheel cars use in British Hillclimb? They are the most aggressive designs. I think that "wingshop" place makes a lot of them. |

They have some cool stuff for sure. Since they announced their dropping out of F1 now, maybe more goodies will go up. Some old carbon rotors or something i would frame that stuff on my wall. Yes Simon McBeath is more of a Pikes Peak guy i think. But you really do need those wings with the gravel so sloshy as it is. You could go right off the cliff and die. My aero be scrapin next season. No more airgaps. I thought i had a chance to do at least one or two events this year, but work, baby sidetracked me.

Absolutely i will. Right now i am just basically getting back to work this month after moving into the new shop. I am working on the S14 Kouki kit at the moment. And that is nearing completion for mold making. So i have been working on that every night now. And i am getting myself an S2K in a few months, so i am going to do a track kit for that. I did not want to do it half baked, so i have been taking my time,
