vacation
i am about to leave for vacation in about a week, wat i was wondering was, do i have to do anything to my car to keep things (fluids, ect..) from drying up or anything? im gonna be gone for about a week at most, i have a 97 240 with a redtop sr20det, and im afraid of it not starting or anything happening to it wen i get back home (knock on wood) any help would be appreciated thanx

Are you serious...
For a week the MOST I would do is disconnect the battery. I, personally, wouldn't even do that. Just park it somewhere where it won't get messed with.

I'm leaving my cars in storage for 3 years (well, one year has elapsed already) and all i did was disconnect the battery and dump some fuel stabilizer into the tank. Oil doesn't dry up, really. |

wow, my car hasn't been started or ran for +2months, and it cranks n starts up just as i left it when i started it yesterday.
disconnect the battery, and thats all |

I hear that if you are leaving it is a good idea to cover your car in bologna slices. As a hint, I would suggest leaving it in direct sunlight for best results.

actually if u storing ur car for a while and worried, u can disconect Cas and let it turn over a few times. then start it. theres really nothing u need to do dude. its not like the gears will age. lol. maybe rub some Neutrigina on your paint...?

...also, I read somewhere that pouring sugar into you gas tank will absorb any excess moisture that may be in the tank, which is a good thing to get ride of if you are going to be gone for any time period longer than 5.25 days.

sugar wont do shit,,, it wont even dissolve in the gastank, worst case scenario is you plug up the sock filter,
