White bunny clutch issue (slipping)
I have been driving around on this new competition clutch white bunny on my Ka-t setup for over three weeks now and it's already starting to slip. Using the Ceramic disc with their OE style pressure plate. Was holding strong haven't launched hard with it yet, just rolling into it. When I noticed yesterday it was slipping in 5th. The car is putting down 431hp and 415tq. Should I just replace the pressure plate for their heavy duty one?

Everything was prepped correctly. I know I exceed the rating, but I thought I could get away with it due to the Ceramic disc. Now the question is, should I just buy a heavier duty pressure plate with a higher clamping force or trash the whole clutch kit and go with a twin disc?

So you knowingly exceeded the rating and are wondering why it's slipping?
You need to stop right there and get the correct parts with the proper range of performance. Using parts not rated for your setup is just foolish.

I'm not wondering what the issue was, I know exactly the cause. If you read through the whole post you would see I was using a different ceramic disc verse the OE style organic that comes with the kit normally. Have already spoken to competition clutch and was told that pressure plate is only rated for mid 300s unlike what is advertised. I didn't expect to make that much power on my setup. Going with a twin disc.

Ceramic discs wear much quicker in stop and go driving than organic discs. 3 years of daily driving sounds about right to wear through a disc.

I'm going with a twin disc, spoke to the guys at OS GiKen. They recommended using a twin disc that puts me at 80% of the clutch rating. Probably going with a spec mini twin disc.
