I took off my Intake manifold for cleaning purposes and now it wont line back up correctly. The two studs on the outside are rubbing the inner part of the holes. I don't understand, I mean I pulled it off the motor and cleaned it. Tried to put it back on and no go. I didn't touch the studs at all. Any ideas? Should I slighty tap the stud with a rubber mallet?

Is the motor out of the car?

had a similar issue ya gotta make sure your sliding it on equally straight and the correct angle

what about try taking out one of the studs from the motor???
