Not much to contribute here but I do bracket race my 240sx as much as my schedule allows. I hit E-town in NJ and Atco when there are import events with bracket racing. Not trying to go the fastest in the 1/4 as each second faster seems directly proportional to the speed at which my wallet shrinks.
My setup is 10psi on a stock KA with a stock auto. car is 3035lbs with me in it and 1/2 tank of gas. Car runs 13.75 in the 1/4 mi at 104mph. I only get a 2.25 60' though as the auto launches at 1800rpms. I use Nitto Drag Radials. |

Not a whole lot I can chime in here about, but I do have a few things. I have cut a 1.59 60' on KTS Coilovers on full soft in the rear, and halfway in the front. (Without the 2 step on the AEM setup, all manual launching.) So, good 60's can be had on coilovers. Also, I'm running a Z32 tranny and stock axles with slicks and I lanuch literally at redline (GT30R, SR20DET block, stock internally other than cams and a HG.), and I've never had a problem with axles breaking in prob 50 or so launches on slicks.

Great reading guys!
I have a question - I read often about subframe bushings, what's that all about? Do rubber bushings really kill 60ft that much? BTW, any new times / records / runs below 11.0? |

Yes, was going to ask too - is 2-step really necessary? My traction is so dismal that I don't need any boost off the line
