S13 cooling fans(Electric or belt driven)

I just found out my 93 coupe has 2 fans a electric one thats mounted on the radiator and one thats attached to the water pump. my previous s13 was a sohc and it only had the one on the waterpump. my question is do i need to keep running the one on the water pump if i have an electric one?
