I am going top feed 72lb injectors for my t3/t4 setup on my sr20 and need an aftermarket FPR because the fuel rail i have doesnt have holes for a stock type to fit into.

I really spent all the money I have on all brand name and expensive parts and the FPR and the rom tune are the last parts i need. I'm looking to sort of cheap out on an FPR and not go with the $150 aeromotive piece for now.

anyone have experience with any cheaper FPR's like these?

I don't see why they wouldnt do the job just fine... but if anyone has any positive or negative input it would be much appreciated

I know the feeling you wanna get it done, took me a year to gather up all my parts for a tune, but i was also upgrading the suspension too.

take your time do it right, you dont want to greande your engine cuz you cheaped out on a FPR do you?

I think I heard about some problems with aeromotive's fpr.. Something about the pressure valve ball not seating right and not holding pressure I think..

Regardless of you hearing about aeromotive having issues with they FPR's, they make good products and every once in awhile something will be bad from the factory, it's just the nature of the beast.

I personally have a SARD FPR and love it...

Nismo, Sard, Aeromotive would all be good investments.

I have one of those jdm type fpr, And I've had it on the same SR for 4years no problem except the gauge. It's inaccurate, and not liquid filled. I do have an after market fuel pressure gauge in the car to keep tabs on the pressure. I'm not going to give my opinion on the other fuel pressure regulators but, I've been looking to replace it with a SARD unit. Few things are, SARD has been hit by the knock off makers. you no the dimple and dot thing on the housing. and the price. I'm really not in a rush, but If I find that sweet deal... then SARD it is.

Agreed, lots of people on this forum have had problems with Nismo FPRs with various setups. I don't know if it has to do with age/flow/etc, but I'd probably use one on a stock-ish setup, but not on something delivering substantially more fuel than OEM.

I use an Aeromotive twin -10an input/single -10an output boost-referencing regulator off a 1000hp Supra kit, got a screamin deal on it years ago. Rock solid so far.

I can't speak for the Nismo or Aeromotive, but I have had a SARD FPR for almost 3 years and had nothing but good results... I just wouldn't buy something generic made in Taiwan...

i ran a nismo fpr for the last four years, about a year ago my car started to run rich, no boost leaks/vac leaks, tried taking some out with the safc, tried swapping new injectors, all to no avail. then i decided to put in an AEM FPR and a new gauge to see if that solved the problem. sure enough my A/F went right back where they were supposed to be.

FUCK a NISMO FPR. get an AEM, aeromotive, or sard instead. its really only a little more than you would spend anyway to get a good one.

why go cheap?

with a t3/t4 set up why would you rom tune thats not smart, and neither is getting an ebay fpr

I actualy had an aeromotive that would piss boost when ever I did a boostleak test. So i got a fuel lab (new company) and its amazing! I recomend them to anyone wanting to go down the aeromotive route

alright i guess i am going to go with a sard unit... why is it a bad idea to use an enthalpy tune on a t3/t4 setup? i had one on my previous 240 with a 2871r and loved it just had a local tuner do some small adjustments with a wideband and safc and it was awesome.
