R32 GTS-T VLSD to S13 Hatch
Greetings,
I'm having a hell of a time with this LSD that I was given by the previous owner of my 240SX SE Hatchback. I have two differentials currently, the stock KA24E MT open differential 6 bolt output flange (3x2) and this alleged R32 GTS-T VLSD 5 bolt output flange (5x1). I've scoured the web for the past 3 days and still haven't come up with a definitive answer. I've consulted the zilvia.net search function many times, but all I've come across are bits that MAY be of use. So, don't claim that I'm one of those lazy folk. Here is the problem, the differential might be a JDM S13(180sx) differential. It physically looks like it, but when I searched the case number I come up with a japanese yahoo auction for, "NISMO Nismo R32 HCR32 Sky line type M. use R200 machine 2WAY LSD final 4.3 48:11 case product number 38311 10M00 flange 5 hole". However, isn't the R32 GTS-T a 2-way LSD? This is clearly a 1.5-way LSD or maybe I'm wrong and 2-way is VLSD in this instance? The case is 38311 10M00, 48/11 - 4.36 final drive, 5x1 output flanges. What axles will directly bolt up to my 29 spline rear knuckles on my 240sx SE? I'd prefer to not swap anything else on the differential. Facebook says that the pre-'94 J30 axles, swapping the stubs from my open diff with stock axles, or the N/A z32 short axles will work. This is a non-ABS. PICTURES https://imgur.com/a/3HxGr1b |

r32 gtst only came with VLSD.
try popping your half shafts out your current diff and see if they fit your unknown diff. trying to source half shafts (stubs) for unknown diffs is a nightmare. if you look at the 3rd pic down, you will see a square jobbie and some triangle things inside the big hole, this will tell you if its a 2way (the triangles will be the same or a 1.5 way the will be different. https://www.driftworks.com/forum/thr...-lom59.273059/ |
