300zx 17/16 BMC leaking reservoir - Help?

Have has numerous problems with BMC's for my 30mm 300zx swap (front and rear with new seal kit couple years ago and no leaking from calipers or spl lines).

I got a 17/16 BMC a while back and it leaked right from the start... The leaking came from where the reservoir meets the BMC. If you tilt the BMC slightly, you see the bubbles coming out from the gasket area.

HERE IS THE ISSUE! I replaced the 2 gaskets with brand new ones for the bmc and got the appropriate ones (NABCO 17/16) and its STILL LEAKING from the same area. I used zip ties for the time being to help press the reservoir onto the seals to slow the leaking.

Anyone got a suggestion?

Thanks!

Have you tried swapping the resevoir?? Some time the tabs that snap into place crack or even ware out enough to cause a leak...

Change the reservoir, i guess it costs less than the gaskets

I will try this this weekend, thanks intel5811 and croustibat for the advice.

would a reservoir from a 1" 300zx BMC work? I have one lying around that the reservoir never leaked, it leaked because it didnt have the center fitting.

I swapped out the reservoirs from an OEM 300zx BMC with the seals and it worked!

Thank you intel5811 and croustibat for the fast response and advice!
