please help... s14 wont start!! =/
alright, so I drove to work... and when i tried leaving, the car wouldn't start.. it clicks over like it wants to but nothing. lights work so its not the battery, checked all my fuses and theyre all good.. tried to push start it and it will not start, when I put my key in and put it to the "start" position i no longer hear my fuel being injected at all... a friend came with '"starter spray" we sprayed inside the intake and it started for a few seconds then quickly died.. im guessing it might be my fuel pump?? but how can a pump go to shit just by sitting? ahh Im thinking of just buying a fuel pump but really wanted to hear sum insight from you guys.. any info would be greatly appreciated... Really want to make sure its the pump before i go spend $ if its something else.. car is an s14 with an sr20det

Put direct power to the pump I had the same problem s14 with sr and everything checked out fine except for my Dan computer to a shit I opened it up and found out it shorted out so I fixed it and fired right up But start by putting direct power to the pump and continue from there

take the realy from the ac and swap it with your fuel pump relay. they are the same. if it still doesnt start the fuel pump to prime then its either your fuel pump or the wiring which runs on the driver side i believe

Have you tried jumping the relay? Not to fix it - but to figure out if your fuel pump is indeed dead.

thats my guess, BUT how does a pump just go out when its parked?? ill be so pissed off if i spend $100 on a nice 255 walbro and then realize it was the relay or wires? i dont even know where to check for the relay wireing, a few hours before i had disconnected the driver door window motor and the wires were touching metal -.- would that have anything to do with this issue?

Fuel pumps go bad all the time, it doesn't have to be from something happening to them, they just wear out over time and eventually one time you will cut it off and the next time you go to start it, the pump is dead. Sometimes the distinct whine they make will become louder/higher pitched before they go bad

Thats a aftermarket wire so it should be fine
And a fuel pump will just die. Mine left me at work also. Drove fine to work but would not start after. The pump was too weak from constantly overheating it from running so low on gas. Wired in a walbro and started right up |

it looks like a ground wire they made for a sound system.
i've had a fuel pump die out of no where before. it happens, just replace it.
