S13 CXRacing coil overs review
So I just got these yesterday and installed them, I had it set to zero preload and drove around, and if any one is familiar with San Jose, you know the roads here are pretty damn shitty, so the 12kg/8kg spring rates are not cutting it, it's so fucking bouncy so I swapped out the rear spring with a 6kg stance spring my boy had and put the 8kg up in front and set the damper to 12 clicks soft. After doing that I noticed that the ride was much smoother, way smooth. Over all quality of the build of these coil overs are pretty good, they're pretty beefy, the brackets are made of steel and welds seem pretty good, they come with brake line holders welded on. Top hats utilize a thicker piece of aluminum compared to godspeed. One thing I did notice about the coil overs when I got them that the dampers we're put on reversed, because I noticed on the bottom of the damper it said R and F so I swapped them to their proper place after my first bumpy ass ride along with the springs, the car rides smooth.
cliff notes : good quality for price, make sure your dampers are in the correct spot such as a rear damper in the rear and not front, swap your springs to 8kg and 6kg for a less bumpy ride. I drove to the gas station and back, I will keep this thread updated with more insight later on. |

So far the car rides a little stiff, I wish it would ride a little more comfy but I'm sure these are track intentional. The springs and shocks are good though, I have not bottomed out, my exhaust scrapes here and there once in a while but it was a quick fix with some hose clamps over my exhaust rubber hangers, these are pretty good bang for your buck, I think I'm gonna toss the springs that came with the coil overs and order some PBM SSLs in 8kg and 6kg, I will get pictures up tomorrow morning. These can be found on Amazon for 650 + shipping, I signed up for a Amazon Store card and got approved, I get six months to pay this off with out interest, so far so good. If you're really picky about parts you put on your car I suggest you save another 400 and get PBM or Fortune Autos, these are very comparable to Megan Tracks, I'm loving them so far.
Frame rails are about an inch and a half off ground About 80 miles on the coil overs! |

So I played with the damper adjusters a little more and damn did they make a difference, I have them on full soft and these ride like a dream, took it for a sprinted cruse on high way 9 last night and it handled good. I highly recommend these coil overs for any one looking to save a buck or two, just change out the springs for 8kg and 6kg, I can lower the rears about another 3 inches if I wanted but I like the ride height.
So far about 125 miles on the coil overs. Still loving them. |

I paid 680 shipped on Amazon I think, I only did it cause Amazon was offering a credit line and if I paid it off in full within 6 months it would be interest free, why not? haha.
They ride pretty good for the spring rate I have on them now, which is 8kg and 6kg, I absolutely suggest replacing the 12kg spring with an 8kg spring from powered by max or swift. For the height that my car is at there is no droop in the springs, preload is set at zero, I can drop the front end another 2.5 inches, and the rears 3.5 inches. I will have to raise the rear soon, I will be installing PSM subframe risers, so it will lower the car even more. |

boy boys, I'm a authorized CXRacing dealer. My friend bought a set from me personally almost 10 months ago now, he did 16 track days this past summer and daily drove the car to over 20,000KM(16,000miles) this summer and his are still excellent we removed them about 2 weeks ago to check everything over, still nice and firm, no pressure cracks anything. Honestly I'm also a dealer for Tein, JIC, and even HSD and they're all decent. But for the $$ you save these are worth every $$ . He is also running the Camber arms as well.

You got money to buy coil overs, but you don't have money to pay me back $19.00??!!! Fucking serious? Also, don't be posting up, that the situation has been taken care of, because it hasn't.
