Where's The Rest Of The Power?

So I just got my car dyno'd and am dissapointed in the results. Mod list is

rods
pistons 8.5/1 .5mm over
bc stage II 264 in/ex cams
springs
retainers
RAS
greddy IM
gt2871r .64
740cc injectors
enthalpy tune

Originally dynod at 285 at the wheels at 20* timing and got the extra 40 across the board going to 15* timing. Where can I get the rest of my power because this seems low compared to other people with simmilar setups.

I'd drop that enthalpy tune.

wow, I can't think of anything. your boost is solid, your afr's look to be a little lean for my tastes, but definitely where they need to be to make power. Is this dyno known for underrating? how does the car feel? do you have anything to compare it to? how's the compression? also, i'm assuming the timing mentioned is the amount of base timing before top dead center, how does it idle at 15 btdc? I remember with my 264's I had to bump it up to around 20-21 to get it to idle right (but it definitely seemed to run a little stronger with the increased base timing)

The car feels like it has more in it. I've been in people's car with basically the same setup and they're cars definatley "feel" faster then my car, but they haven't had them dynod. Car idles perfect. The shop thought my car read really low so I'm both stumped and a little mad.

Each dyno is different so it will be hard to compare across makes and models.

The best way is to pick one type and compare to your own baseline runs. Otherwise you're comparing apples and oranges.

Ditto

What kind of dyno are they using?

I would guess it was a Dynojet, from the sheet that he posted. Which means compared to mustang and dyno dynamics, it should read higher power than those. The power is all in the tune. They may have had the dyno calibrated incorrectly too, for air temp, etc.

Parasitic drive train loss is your culprit.

Lighter weight flywheel, drive shaft, rear axles, and such all make a difference

What size wheels and tires are you running and how much do they weigh, because if your running 25 pound sportmax with 20 pounds of tire on each I can tell you it will drop powr.
