Have a 2000 Discovery, its been kind of shifting wierd lately, but not too bad. Well today I go to start it, put it in first, and it just revs. If I rev it really high to like, 4k, it kind of moves, but doesnt start driving. This is the same if its in first or reverse.

Now when I put it in neutral, I can hear the engine drop revs, but not in any other gear. ATF fluid is at the right level.

Another wierd thing. I let it sit for like 5 minutes with the motor off, came back outside, put it in first and it started to drive just fine. As soon as I put it in park, it was going back to how it was before and just reving.

So is my tranny fucked, or any other small thing I could look at? I kind of need this car to go to work and stuff, so its pretty important.
