The first day I got her back in 2012 1997 240SX LE 5 Speed with 174k on the clock. Since then I've done a few things but kept most of them OEM JDM bumper JDM turn signals JDM Navan rear valences With a few much needed upgrades inside as well SPL: solid subframe bushings, tension rods, outer tie rods with Tein Z33 inners Nismo Front lower control arms Energy steering rack bushings Drives better than ever can't believe I put up with such horrible steering wheel vibrations at speed for over a year. |

Wet-sanded the 240sx front bumper and it came out looking great. That duplicolor AH3 exact match paint is amazing. Going to do my rear bumper next, as the clear-coat failed. ^ Thats what it looked like they day I picked it up. Thats its after being sprayed, but not wet sanded. Now its got a nice gloss to it. I will be buying an orbital buffer to hit this car with. Theres alot of artifacts in the paint and hardwater spots that wont come out. |

My '97 kouki, pretty stock except for eibach springs & bilstein shocks. The turn indicator on the rear of the front fender is a local compliance requirement.

Thank guys, vJilly you're talking about the heat shield. I had the exhaust manifold custom welded by Alex, hes here on the fourms. Its a SR/KA hybird manifold, just google search it. I even have the OEM turbo heat shield to cover my turbo haha California Highway Patrol is no joke. Took a lot of work to restore it to how it is now but I enjoy it everyday

hence the cough...
No offence taken though, I was just jealous of Shobotan's 180sx since it was so clean and orginal. Anyways this is about as close as you can get to a 180sx here in the US. Haha but yea only 96 models come with rear indicator lights |

^ 43k miles?! Man, that's amazing... I thought I was lucky finding mine with 103k on it.
Pics are from a few months ago... I broke down and bought coilovers recently (my rear shocks went bad)... but I'm going to set it to a height that I think it 'should' have been from factory... not that 4x4 ride height that they somehow decided to go with. Only non-stock things in this pic are the KT Project side markers and a cheap wal-mart antenna lol. (unless you count the JDM grille as "not stock" even though it's OEM, lol) Last edited by Almosttt; 07-03-2014 at 05:39 AM.. |
