Problems with Ichiba front hubs
I took the 4 lug hub off, put the Ichiba right on and when I tighten the axle nut, the new hub does not spin. Am I doing something wrong?

make sure the slotted washer in the middle is sitting correctly before you try to bolt down the hub.
edit: if this isnt the problem, have you tried to spin the bearing freely in the hub before actaully attemping to install the unit onto the axle? |

I greased it a little. The washer was in the right spot and Yes the bearing spun before installation. I've put the 4 lugger back on for now and it is still spinning fine. I'm confused. I did 5 lug on my S14 with brand new OEM hubs and had zero problems.

yes i had the same problem when installing mine the nut does not have to be super tight pretty much snug and while tighening the nut spin the wheel assembly to set the bearings properly once the rotor stops while tightening the nut then back it of and just lightly snut the nut again this check to make sure the hub spins freely then cotter pin it this is what i did anyways good luck!!!

oh boy, the nut shoot be torqued down to spec, not "back it of and just lighly snut the nut" haha
u should have a snap ring. tho ive never dealt with ichiba hubs, i remember back in the day there was a problem with peak performance hubs where the wrong snap rings were used. this might be the problem. of course, why would you be the only person with this problem? go figure =T |

Well, I just read on Northwest Nissans that you have to replace the Ichiba retainer (left) with the OEM one off of the 4 lug hubs (right)
Gonna give it a try tomorrow and I'll update. Thanks for the help everyone! |

Im willing to put good money that changing the snap ring will solve your problem, its ridiculous how much the tabs stick up on the ichiba one. |

Ichiba doesn't sell S14 front 5 lug conversions. And your suppose to leave the snap ring intact and not touch it. this is going into an s13 right? pm me directly if you have anymore questions.
