We'll be there helping out again. Also we're accepting pre-orders for tires if you guys would like us to bring your tires to the track and mount them there for you!

yeah there will prob be like $10 fee for spectators... but then again if it's $175 for drivers, maybe that pays for entrance fees and a few beers for all the spectators :/
I'd like to come watch... so Brian you don't want a F-D license? You (and Aaron, and Chris, and a few others who are shall we say, 'skilled') could really put the 'Pro' in Pro Am.

I have an FD license and didn't use it this year. I still have a ton of fun driving at amateur events.
I'd love to do this event except I'm super broke right now and I pretty much already guaranteed myself a spot to nationals through JD. I'm just going to nationals for fun and to see how I stack up against the rest of the country. Last year I got 4th. This year I hope to do even better. As for Formula D, I most likely won't do it next year just because I have a lot of other priorties nowadays but who knows. Things change. |

... you guys are awesome. I'm pretty sure I'd go broke/lose my job/etc trying to compete for at least a year, like most people who 'turn pro'.
It's true that there's no money in it, unless you're at the very top. Kind of a bummer, that the only people who can make the jump from am->pro are people that have trust funds/sponsored cars to drive/rich spouses/drug money/etc.

Yeah, I think I do. I'm not sure how it's going to work though. I want to compete on saturday like last year and not have to wait until sunday. Technichally I've qualified to drive on saturday by going through the west coast amateur series but technichally I should only drive sunday as a 0 point pro.
I guess I should ask John Yim on the ziptied thread for some answers. |
