SR20DET 3-4k fuel cut not MAFS

Hello again I've searched and searched and cannot find any hard evidence on my problem. But I'm getting 10 volts sometimes lower from the alternator. I know that this is bad and need to get this fixed. My car is running but not well its got a terrible hesitation at about 3 to 4 thousand rpm like fuel cut, and can really only push it past that if the throttle is feathered real lightly. Could a bad alternator cause this, I can imagine that it would cause the coils to not get enough voltage to create a big enough spark, and the fuel pump could not be getting enough voltage to pump enough fuel. If anyone has any feedback I would love to hear what ya'll have to say!
Regards,
Matt

Step one. Remove alternator.
Step two. Have it tested.

You really couldnt sort that out on your own?

because we don't like people who come here looking for us to solve their problems when they haven't even done the basics yet. we end up with TONS of retarded threads that go like this:

op: zomg my car wont start!!!! i haven't checked ANYTHING but zilvia should tell me how to fix it!!!!

me: is there any gas in it?

op: i dunno maybe i should go look before posting a useless thread??? brb

op: nope there was no gas. i'm an idiot and need my hand held to do any simple thing, god only knows why i have a drivers license.

I only wanted to know sorry, I thought this was a place to come to get help is all, btw replaced the alternator is replaced now and the car runs. The only reason I asked for help was because I've tried and tested everything. So thanks I guess

If you substitute your alternator for any other sensor/part in your car and have the same test results, would you still feel comfortable posting this?

While I understand your curiosity, you still have a failing part! You should have at least fixed that part first. Just because!
This is Zilvia, big boy land!

I completely understand that my question was annoying but I asked it because of my situation that I am in the car is outside of my shop under a cover and I had tested every sensor I could and my whole harness and got nothing I was going to worry about the alternator once the car started running. I'm used to working on old Chevy's I've built many and was not aware a failed alternator could cause this problem. So I have learned my lessons thanks!
