This is what I am going with when I get my 1uz up and running. Josh Lowell is the maker of these brackets. Stock s13 brakes at their stock location while adding a Wilwood part # 120-9687 Caliper. His brackets are $75 which includes both brackets and shipping. It's a steal in my opinion.

Off to my buddies shop.
All clean! 150k+ miles and still has factory cross hatches (yes i am going to hone the cyls) I am in the process of cleaning up the harness. Only removed a couple plugs. Mostly just getting rid of the factory plastics. Oh, this is how dirty my old engine was :S Last edited by shoguner; 02-18-2015 at 01:28 PM.. |

The wrap around the steering rack, which you have to do with these. Other side i just chopped the flange and welded an extension. Tundra headers. Thanks man. I'm trying to do things right this time. So hopefully there won't be anymore rebuilding haha. Last edited by shoguner; 02-18-2015 at 01:29 PM.. |

Now, that this thread is all fixed.
I guess i should update it. Been awhile. I got a body kit. Got a new roommate. Engine is finished. TOB is fixed and exteneded for the new clutch. I also pulled out ALL the wiring in my car. I will be redoing everything to fix all the issues i had. I finished rewrapping the engine harness. I will be updating this more, now that the thread is fixed. |

I did into the wiring today.
Got the relays all hooked up. New fuse block. Don't know if you can see, this fuse block has a grounding buss. Super helpful with relays. I can link what i got here, if ya'll want. I used 2 blue connectors from the s13 chassis harness, so this is more removable, instead of just spade connectors. Tomorrow, i will work on the switch panel. |

Why do you keep going throw motors? any ideas? I always thought 1uz's were reliable as anything. Theres a guy local here been running one for the last 2 years, never rebuilt it or anything and he beats on it. Learned reverse entrys near the end f the year, turboing it this season.
Did he jyst get lucky? |

It is mostly my dumbass. First year I had the cooling hoses backwards. Never got much cooling. Second year. Some idiot told me these only used 4 quarts of oil and i never double checked. So, the last event, i changed the oil, but only put 4 quarts in. These engines are VERY resilient. I drifted a full day on 4 quarts of oil. |

Yey, more boring wiring.
Well, first off, my trusty butane soldering iron died. It won't heat enough to melt solder, so i have been heating it up with a torch haha. Bought a new weller. It's a little TOO powerful, oh well. I drew up this diagram awhile ago, it has been what i have been using. I need to go back and edit it. I just trucked away at soldering and matching up wires tonight. I am excited, this is going to turn out nice. So much better than all the crappy stock wiring harness. Added plugs so everything is removeable! I did crack the plexiglass sheet i made for the relays, kinda pissed about that... oh well. Now, I need to learn how the brake switches work. |

Wiring is DONE! (well mostly.)
The plug hanging down is the power/start to the ecu. I will never use cheap plexiglass ever again. lol. I want to get some carbon and just use that. More knee room. I need to make a new radiator support. Any one have an suggestions? I have looked at tons a pictures. NEXT TIME ON "WILL HE BE READY FOR THE EVENT" Engine time. |

So,
I did things today. First, tried every stinking think to get that clutch to work. Nothing works. I think my bellhousing isn't milled down enough. Ugh if only i would of done things right in the first place. Put my old clutch back in, might work for 1 event, might work for the year. Not pulling it, until it slips. Got the engine in. I was able to keep the headers on, didn't have to put them on half way. Not sure why i haven't been doing this.... :/ Made a list of things to get done by thursday. I did a few of them tonight, but added a few too. Truck needed a much needed brake job and a new tie rod. Turned the rotors. But then it got too cold and too dark, so it's sitting out there on jack stands haha. I hope I can get this thing ready. also, be careful with flap disk, they sand fingers too. |

Got a lot done tonight. I should be sleeping. Need to be up in 4 hours for a 10 hour work day. BUT YOU GUYS NEED TO KNOW HOW I LIVE MY LIFE.
Cut my radiator support out. I just used some round bar stock from lowes to get this going. I want to do a full tube front eventually, so i didn't want to waste too much time on it. Works very well, super stable. Got my steering column in, nothing new. I did put bolts in the knuckle this time to prevent it from separating. Radiator hoses blah blah. And a new windshield! All fluids should be in the car and the car should be ready to start and break those rings in. |
