Is anyone gonna go to the D1 GP on the 31st? If so, maybe we can meet up and roll up there. So far, i have my other firend with an S14 to go with me. Anyone else? This event is gonna rock!!!!

yeah the event is gonna be off the hook..i know we have about 6 of us rolling down from Northern California that weekend...gonna be packed as hell so everyone get there early...

That sounds like a good idea actually.
What time are you leaving Chris? Even if you are gone already SpeedAlliance might be as good a place as any to meet for a caravan.

If the event starts @ 3pm I plan to leave here around 12pm in order to get my tickets and all that.

Anyone else? How long does it take to drive up there?

exit Clairemont Mesa Blvd WEST
Make the first right onto Kearny Mesa Road
Pass Motels, Harley Davidson, then you'll see Interior Surroundings.
Pull into the Interior surroundings driveway
We are behind the DELI!

San Diego, CA 92111

Like i said, feel free to meet up there!

When you all leave, just get back out to Clairemont Mesa Blvd, make a right and head 805 North to 5 North to D1GP!!!!

Meeting up at Speed Alliance is a great idea. It took me an hour and a half to irwindale, but i left at 8 in the morning. Leaving from 11 to 12 is good enough. I think the car show starts at 3 and the drift event starts at 5. I could care less about the car show, but if you guys wanna be there at 3, then it's fine with me.

I figure on having to stand in line for my tickets. I don't know how long that takes, but I personally want to maximise my time at this event even if it is just a car show to start out with.

Well Chris says its ok to use his place to meet.

I say anyone interested meet there @ 12-12:30pm with the aim of being on the road by 12:30pm. Mid-day traffic will suck all the way up there so leaving that early will work out pretty well I think.

Any objections or better ideas?

We are leaving at 6am.

I would recommend that you all leave at around 10-11 am. BRING LOTS OF WATER!!!!

I anticipate the line forming very early in the morning.

Wouldn't want you guys to arrive at 2 and be stuck for hours....

This is going to be a big event. I say we be ready to leave Speed Alliance no later than 10:30am. Traffic is going to be nonsense as well, not just waiting in line.

I think the ticket booth opens at 10. I talked to my other friend yesterday and he reminded me to bring a backpack or some sort of bag to carry. Why? Because you're gonna need to bring lots of WATER and FOOD. It's also helpful to have a backpack when you free-load off of vendors. Hehe. Oh yeah, bring sunscreen. If you guys want, we can leave at 8:30, be there at 10, buy tickets, and then shoot the $hit till 3, which is a really long time, so i dunno.

i personally recommend leaving early, how early is up to you guys. I do know that everyone will be at will call picking up their tix, which means like 1000+ people in line.
