RB How to wire a Series 2 mafs on a series 1 RB25

Ive been slowly upgrading my series 1 RB25 S14 240sx.
I'm trying to upgrade the mafs.I have a Z32 maf but i don't want to throw it in yet because I have yet to purchase a new turbo and from my understanding its a must to tune the ecu considering the higher calibration of the Z32 meter.Ones I get the turbo Ill threw everything on 550cc injectors included.

In the meantime how do I wire up a series 2 mafs to the series 1 engine? Being that the series 2 Mafs is rated at about 300 hp as oppose to the series 1 mafs... which is rated at about 270 hp

You can't match the wire pigtail colors?

The S2 MAF offers no advantage over the S1. They both read up to 290 HP worth of airflow.

Yes, you must tune for a Z32 MAF. They read twice the airflow (compared to RB25 MAF) using the same the 0 - 5volt operating range.
Using a Z32 MAF on stock tune would make it run incredibly lean. The o2 feedback wouldn't be able to compensate for the errant MAF reading.

The pigtail wiring is differnt as far as color matching. The S1 uses a 5 pin connector. The s2 uses only three pins.

Are you sure about that? The sources that ive checked shows that the s2 mafs is a bit better than the s1 mafs.See the link http://www.nzefi.com/packages/power-...e-r33-rb25det/

Hey TT20985 did you ever figure it out? My S1 motor cam le with a S2 MAF. I tried wiring it to ECU with a MAF ground, and signal and a 12v going to it, but the ecu doesnt read it.

Thanks for any info you got man!
