Its sad that someone died, but to be honest, the people who do that crap are some of the stupidest people on earth. I mean, your risking bodily injury or death, just for a laugh, and maybe a couple bucks. It just doesn't make any sense to me

Adam Ports, 18, and three fellow students at Tiffin University set a chair on fire and threw it from the back of a moving truck Tuesday night while friends photographed the stunt. Ports then jumped or fell from the truck as it sped away on a country road, officials said.

He died Wednesday from head injuries.

"They were trying to create some type of stunt like they have on the TV show 'Jackass,'" Seneca County sheriff's Sgt. Brian Hescht wrote in a report. The now-defunct MTV show of crude stunts was made into a movie that debuted last month.

i like how he brings in jackass into the whole scenerio so they can blame it on something. kind of like when the kid burnt his trailor down and died, they blamed it on beavis and butthead.

That show is funny, haven't seen the movie yet, but heard its basically a bunch of dicks on the screen, and by dicks I mean the male penis. But everyone says its still funny.

I love how people ALWAYS blame someone else for things. Happens in music (Eminem, Marilyn Manson, Madonna). When are parents going to realize that thier kids are stupid, and that they are stupid for not telling them jumping out of cars can get you hurt. I am assuming this guy still lived at home, he was 18 so on the way to college, but he deserves to get hurt, not die (nobody deserves to die, except murderers).

Its taken you this long to realize that people refuse to accept blame? Kids blame broken stuff on their sibling, or pets. People with tickets blame the cop. Cerebral Dissonance. The brain removes the body from the entire scenario, and since the actual cause of the problem is gone (the body) in one's brain, the brain thinks of the next possible cause, and immediatly, the person thinks they were the entire cause.
That is psychology and law rationalization.

OT: Did anyone hear that a lot of people in New England are sueing McDonalds for "delebratly misleading the public into believing that their fast food was healthy," and are now sueing for "making their children obeise"? I saw this on the news. The group is sueing for $125 million last I heard.
Almost makes me not wanna be a lawyer. But then I think of the 30% cut the lawyer gets, and I stop thinking about it.

I wonder if alchol or drugs were involved. If so, setting something on fire and throwing it off a truck may be pretty ammusing. he'll it'd be ammusing totally sober, you just wouldn't think to actually do it unless you were fucked up

But about the guy getting killed, it's pretty fucked up how you all are viewing it I've known people who have fallen off cars. They were being stupid, yes, but they don't deserve death...we shouldn't be happy that someone out goofing off died.

There not being happy, maybe smug, but not happy. They just don't feel the need to show sympathy for something they deem as being a result of a person's own lack of safety.
