sr20det burning oil after boost
ok so please read everything before you reply thinking that you know what it is.
currently the car sits with a dyno tuned on safc avcr 550cc nismo injectors rs3871 turbo, isis turbo lines, high heat silicon return line with a heat blanket, all new oil seals besides rear main (wouldn't be cause burnt oil) Compression is 155, 155, 156, 154 running 16psi boost. so my problem is i am burning oil. I have replaced the turbo twice. the first time because when i bought the car it came with a ghetto isis rs3871r, second time because the oil seal went bad on a brand s14 t28 that i had installed. now i was given a brand new rs3871 by enjuku because it was free and i still have the issue with burning oil. although i am now burning fraction of oil that i was i am tired of putting oil in this thing and would like for it to not have a huge cloud behind my car after a pull. this is something i have delt with before and was able to figure it out i am confused because the compression is 155,155,156,154. I also did a leak down test and heard next to nothing this motor was rebuilt 15,000 miles ago. it has normal blow by for an sr There is no oil in the intercooler or intercooler piping. nor is there oil dumping oil of my valve cover going into the intake things i have replace, taken care of replaced front main seal, oil pan gaskets, new turbo line, replaced turbo twice, replaced return line, replaced pcv valve, replaced valve cover gasket, temporary installed catch can which did not catch any oil. leak down test (Good) compression test. If you have any ideas what could be causing this please let me know! i REALLY dont think the rings are bad. |

Does that turbo require any kind of restricter on the feed line? Maybe the feed line is too large? or the drain line is too small.
From enjuku's web site: ** This Turbo requires a 3an feed line, DO NOT use a 4an feed line ** |

Mine does the same thing, although its not too much, usually the most apparent after the first hard pull. Not sure what it is but I'm starting to lean towards valve stem seals.
