Oil in Turbo Elbow

Hi I have a stock S13 Sr20det Black Top. I was changing the 2 bolt gasket for the turbo elbow and noticed a little bit of oil in the 2 bolt elbow before the turbo and some in the stock intake (rubber). Is this a bad thing? Is the oil catch can bad or something? Help !

oil through intake without a catch can is fairly normal. i had to install an after market oil catch can to keep oil from saturating the intake filter.

Oil in the exhaust side, more than likely the turbo seals are done. I'd pop the inlet and check for shaft play. If it moves up, down, left, right, it might still be good. If it goes in and out, turbo is done.

So there is not supposed to be any oil in there at all? Turbo is still good, spools and there is no smoke at all. No weird sounds

Check if there is oil on the tube from the catch can. Also, compression and leak down test.
