This is true. I called Comcast to complain about my internet bill and told them why should I stay when AT&T was offering me a great deal for 6 months. They gave me the promotional price now for 6 months. Hehe.

Set up the Roku today and my roommate loves it. Also got Hulu Plus and Netflix. It's mainly for the roommate, as I rarely watch TV. The TV in my room is hooked up to my PC and PS3, so I just watch d/led vids from there.

Roku is a media streamer that allows you to stream various services to your TV. Some of the services are free (i.e. Pandora), but others you have to pay for (i.e. Netflix). I've read it and I actually did get an email from Comcast for a Bleach episode. It was sent to the comcast email, so I didn't even know about it for months. I will be weary on what I d/l as Comcast has gotten quite big with the merger with NBC.

They did consider working something out, but I was frustrated and really didn't want to waste anymore $$. I'm just amazed that internet will cost $60! I wish I had an alternative, but I don't and Comcast knows this lol

Don't try to work anything out with them. Cancel, and wait for them to come crawling back, tried asking for a lower bill a few times, best offer was to drop to basic cable and save $20. so we cancelled and when i got back from vacation i had the new offer,

cable and internet $55 per month

Netflix/DL for the most part, I havent watched Cable TV in a very long time.
Now that Netflix isnt streaming Dexter anymore, I'll have to find an alternative way to watch that. Any ideas?
