0 gauge for power and more than one 4 gauge for ground. I like to make ALL my engine to chassis, battery to chassis, and chassis to gastank/whatever 4 gauge. Socal schassis has the generic kit and i get a few additional pieces of 4 gauge from the home depot
As for a breaker/killswitch its always best to have a breaker, 140 or 160 amp depending what you have for acessories and if you have the alternator upgrade done. I like 2 killswitches as well. one on the cowl for anyone outside the car, and one within reach of the driver.
