I look at the feature being there for you to use once your warranty has expired. Bet some people will think twice about abusing their tranny if they realize the warranty is gone and they would have to come out of pocket to replace/rebuild.
Besides, how many people bought or are looking at buying a GTR to drive it at the posted speed limit and baby the thing? Very few. The majority don't give a flying flip about warranty.
