i ask as often as possible. even calling some online parts stores asking for parts and then asking if they offer military discounts. you'd be suprised because even if they dont they'll try to hook it up with some sort of price cut maybe it be free shipping or just a ton of free promo stuff.
i think the best discount i always get is getting bumped to fly 1st class home all the time
