To be honest with you, the accident will probably be declared your fault. Unless they can find some proof that the biker was really speeding pretty badly. Technically, you were supposed to yield, and regardless of how plausible that way it probably won't matter.
Also, a lot of times things don't work with the police handing out traffic tickets anymore. If there is room for debate then the insurance companies usually dish it out... but, without insurance, I don't know what t tell you.
