Then people fill in the rest to say "your a good person only if you follow so and so" and all Hell breaks loose, if you'll forgive the pun. If people were a little more accepting, no problems. But every holy book was written by men with agendas, and thats where the problem lies.

I doubt God has ever killed anyone just for shits and grins. People are more than capable of doing that, and saying that they do it in God's name just makes it easier.
