The less you want your car stolen (regardless of what kind it is), the more you will invest in its protection.
Ultimately if a thief wants it bad enough, they WILL get it.
Recommendation:
Get alarm.
Get Lojack.
Maintain insurance.
Be vigilant.
Make it a hard/undesirable target*.
*via the use of detachable steering wheels/club/autolock/etc.
