Removing the axle for the rears is a big waste of time, don't listen to them LOL. I used to think that until my friend showed me otherwise.
There are recessed areas in the axle so that you have room to loosen the bolts for the hub. Just turn your wheel/axle until the axle is in the correct location, remove bolt 4x, and remove the hub.
Every time I've had to remove rear hubs they're real bitches from all the rust. I found that if you PARTIALLY thread the bolts into the back of the hub, then hammer them (on all corners,) the hub will start sliding out. Also beating the hell out of the face of the hub works as well.
