The back side of the gauge cluster has uninsulated solder joints. They can short out against the vehicle frame if you're moving the cluster around with ignition turned on. Those circuits are mostly protected by a small fuse (7.5amp on an S14).

I’ll check in the morning if the warning lamp even lights up I didn’t bother to check or even notice. And you’re right, I’ve been having it leaned back against the frame there. Possibly did blow that fuse, yeap 95 s14. Is that on the inside or outside fuse box that you’re referring to?
