You don't want to power the starter and ecu with the ON wire, you want to power everything from the power source wire because it is thicker. Everything gets its power from the white wire #1, you don't want to feed other devices from a smaller gauge wire.
Read the FSM online, look at the EL section for the starting system to see what I'm talking about.
If you want a switch to toggle the fuel pump you can use the ground signal to the EGI pump relay. It's a black w/ pink stripe wire.
If you use the stock power wires they are already fused. If you add your own 12V source you will need to fuse it.
